I suggest a rewrite of the fundamental features in a simpler technology because the current source architecture requires an amount of lines of code much more huge than using web standards... At that point it could be straightforward to maintain (edited)

this still seems irrelevant. where do you get the developers to "just rewrite it for the web"?
