@Winter: my guess is because the new teeworlds client does not filter out custom gametypes by default. Back in the days new players only saw ctf servers. Now they only see ddrace servers.

i see 0.7 vanilla servers popping with new teeworlds beings but i have no statistics if they all went to dm/ctf first actually
