I don't think the repo is particularly messy compared to most FOSS projects

I think the project is mostly fine. It's always hard for an outsider to read in a new project

I love how nobody tries to arrange a discussion with the person in question and talk about them as if they were some omnious being somewhere far away.

I'm talking about a digital community come together, be it chat, voice, stream, whatever with people playing the game, people moderating the game, people modding the game and Oy who is maintaining the code of the game

in order to discuss problems stated here with the actual person who can help improve the current sluggish development process: primarily Oy

I think that's what the #bridge is for, but yes, it's hard to contact Oy or find anyone who is responsible if needed

we can wait for Oys schedule to have some open time slot, as we have already waited years, so what might be some months of waiting in the context of a decade. (edited)

I also see why the devs of teeworlds lose all motivation. Seeing the player numbers and only seing the people who complain (and not the ones who are fine with changes)

Doing stuff for free in your own freetime should always be appreciated. Also good developers seem to be older and maybe have family and hobbies, so where is the freetime?

So maybe the problem is, that teeworlds develping is understaffed

this being in the hands of oy and not matricks, is, by the way, absolutely the fault of the toxic community
