Joking aside, gctf and ctf are still played quite actively in 0.7. Ictf is actually almost dead as far as I know, but even there there are still a few games now and then. There are a lot fewer players than before, but capture the flag now runs via discord, i.e. you are contacted when someone is looking for a game and this runs relatively smoothly.

all the image resources are easily replaceable in the data folders of the game, you don't even need a custom client

tho it's easier to do it in a client with ui in a few clicks instead of doing it manually often (edited)
