Does anyone actually host a server with correctly set sv_hostname? A few servers incorrectly specify "localhost" or something else that does not exist or is only local. This may lead to weird interactions in the client UI, were you can't favourite a server in the server browser. Sometimes internet servers also seem to appear in the LAN tab, not sure if that is related to the server having a specific sv_hostname set.

LAN servers are also weird for me, because I have multiple interfaces from virtual machines, and client/server always bind to a virtual interface instead of my physical LAN address.

If you set an incorrect address in a lot of places, it defaults to localhost
