0.8 needs something that follows current gaming trends I'm thinking of support for 64 player for vanilla perhaps even more with a couple of big maps made for that number I'd like to have a system in place that limits player per map based on the map size -> something like playable area/non playable area ratio or 1 player per 10² playable tiles I've written down some notes somewhere how this would work in detail but the basic idea is to have a dynamic player limit that dynamically scales with the map size and is 100% locked to the map size rather than hard-coded into the game-type.(edited)
well but having a system like this in place would allow small too medium streamers or perhaps even bigger streamers to have a quick game with their community or something who knows maybe that's the way to get people back playing make the game streamer friendly
