Hello, I downloaded the source, compiled and ran the server. It works fine, I can join it and random people can join too. But in the server list it shows my server with my public ip and the port says 20663. How can that be if I only forwarded port 8303? When I go to local, though, the ip of the server says 192.168.1.50:8303. Can anyone explain why? (edited)

The port seems to (semi)randomly change when I open the server after a while. Now I got 20747 (but if I close it and re-open it immediately I get this same port). I'm running the client on the same machine as the server, maybe that causes it? It still wouldn't make sense to me: the ip is still the same, and when the client tries to connect to a server, a random port is chosen for it anyway, so it wouldn't be 8303.

did you try waiting 15 seconds before restarting the server?

maybe the port needs to be freed after the restart by whatever is occupying it.
