thonk well that's what a converter for, so ppl don't have to use editor to do the trivial stuff.

i never used one either, i just embed everything on 0.6 maps to make it "compatible" on 0.7

But there is also the Problem with some maps by using the game layer since some of them are 0.5

Scoreboard is already hard to deal with in a clean and concise way with more players.

Right, I don't think it is too wild to have an interactable scoreboard where you can scroll and click stuff.

As long as you guard it with a key, so you only enable mouse in scoreboard with a bind or a modifier.

So you can have a quick glance of the top player and yourself. And then you can scroll when you want a closer look at the full list.

@ShootXen ddnet has a map converter to 0.7, it just embedds the images that are from 0.6, so no visual bugs

also the tool checks for divisibility of 16 and max image count, which is required for vanilla too 😄
