chromium is huge, just thinking about i have like 10 chromium installed would makes me cringe.

chromium embedded framework is like a taad smaller than chrome, but it's indeed massive

when you build the editor yourself, you'll miss some features, such as the extensions store

i remember me doing just fine with notepad++ years ago. now i feel pretty useless without vscode
