It was active in the beginning of 0.7, though shortly after all servers I could find were locked for private games

i remember playing instagib for hours

I also remember playing infection for hours, zesc for hours, zpanic/xpanic for hours, battlefield for hours, +ddrace for hours

speaking of zesc, I decided to take a look at the code today
