This changes the behaviour slightly but it feels completely fine to me. (If you click the rail now the handle will move under the mouse)

Fixed up the save function, seems to save/load just fine.

This patch introduces subheaders with varying depth, it doesn't really look the best on older clients though. We could remove the depth component and make it only depth 1. Instead of checking people who error out, this limits the amount of connections in a given timeframe. It also adds two config variables to adjust sensitivity, which you could change to match the current vanilla behaviour if you prefer. It also fixes what @heinrich5991 mentioned in #1631. SDL2 defines an SDLApplication which is the delegate that is used, which seems to do something to cause the accent menu not to appear. Problem is this seems to revert 6febd33 but I can't seem to find any issues. It'd be great if you could take a look @oy

I think we should design a protocol that we can extend without worrying about compatibility. I would gladly implement it, but I don't feel like implementing something only to be shot down by others, so we should first decide on what to do. This would help issues like #1172 and others.
