hey im stopping teeworlds for a while, idk when i'll come back to it.
Being randomly insulted/annoyed by people that i don't know or having a winrate close to 0 after more than one thousand hours isnt fun anymore.
I had great times playing this game, wich is truly a wonderful game, but it's over for me.
Bye and hf !
Hello, I have been working on a tileset lately, (all numbers from now on are in pixels) the style i chose for the tileset was 16x16 pixelart which then is scaled (by 400% or 4x larger) to fit the tileset format of teeworlds 64x64 per tile and 1024x1024. After i drew most of the tileset i decided i would test it in teeworlds so i turned on my DDNet client (also tryed vannila 0.7 same issue) then imported the tileset image into teeworlds editor. The editor seems to do some sort of pixel distoration (interpolation)[Image n.1], which seems to take the colors of two pixels (1 when drawn, 4 when scaled to 64x64) next to eachthother and then ruins the flow and detail of the tileset.(from now on numbers are in tiles) Here are some examples of 3x3 dirt blocks ingame [Image n.2] and in the image editor [Image n.3] (in [Image n.4] i added a 64x64 grid if needed) i used (Aseprite). A guy called "Soreu" recommended me to try to use and exe called "dilate.exe" which is supposed to dilate the image [Image N.5], I don't see a major difference. If u dont notice a difference between ingame/editor and "Aseprite" here is a zoomed in comparison [Image n.6]. If u read this far thanks and i hope u can help me find a solution maybe this issue could be fixed with the new (Editor V2), If you want i can dm u the tileset.
mistake the image below this is N.3(edited)
Idk but would it be possible to make an option in the editor to choose the filtering then the editor will include it in the map file and then the client would choose the filtering depending on what u chose?
I'm going to make a whole lot of tilesets styled like this also ill make automappers simmilar too grass_main but a bit more complex and then make it free to use (with crediting me) thats my plan rn im also working on authentic randomly looking cloud and cave backgrounds which will be tiles insteal of quads so they wont move but they will be able to be automapped into randomly looking(edited)
@LordSk 🦋 After im done with this i was thinking of expanding a few corners of grass_main 0.7 since i think there are a lot options of conections missing, maybe it could then be used in Editor V2
Would like to hear some ambient sounds while playing teeworlds (: Idea: You can load sound files in the editor and can assign them to some 'sound layer' (similar to quad layers) Sou...
I dont know but i cant get animations to work i just dont understand the graphs with X,Y,S idk just really weird way to do it and since the only tutorial there is is in german by chillerdragon i cant even understand it but im exited for editor v2's style of animating
if you are logged in rcon, on a server that hosts the map you are editing, it will reload the map so you can test ingame quickly by switching out of the editor
I dunno about this feature(editor v1), I'd guess because you are logged in rcon and saving your map while on the server, the client executes the reload command and the server reloads the map.

(basically writes "reload" in f2 and presses enter)
there are plans, but for the future, and since that would break all mods, I think it's better to focus on compatible upgrades for now, the biggest issue of 0.7 is that we lost a bunch of 0.6 content that still needs to be ported @bubliman
When i read some old threads on the tw forum. Landil mainly used to not support the idea of racing at all is that opinion changed or will the main focus gameplay wise still be on "shooting" gamemodes?
show times instead of points seperate race timer finish msg (as kill message), localized, icon start/finish/checkpoint supprt automatic demo recording of the race
@heinrich5991 i would need you to make a teeworlds timeline. Someone told me you are an oldschool teeworlds player, and i would like to know since how many time do you play this game
