since voting isnt hidden, u can see if the no or the yes is "winning"
imo many ppl vote "yes" bcs the "yes" is already strong
so voting no can have an influence on other ppl vote

but indeed if people were totally aware of the reasons of the votes and the person who voted for that first
AND if they wouldn't be influenced by the votes of everyone else

but for the reasons i explained b4, imo most of the times not voting isnt equal to voting no
and about zcatch, most of the people who play it pretty often are a bit paranoid about botting
so when there is many people in the same game who arent experienced enough to recognize botting or who just want the guy they try to voteban to leave for a reason or an other(edited)
