Personally I would like to see something to disable quads like ddnets cl_show_quads. Copy/paste, link support and ctrl+f searching for f1 and f2.

Why wouldn't you like being able to use browser in game? You can use it to see if friends are online etc

Weird... and I'm not sure why Teeworlds isn't moving towards officially supporting modding. Majority of the players are playing custom servers

The reason games like Garry's Mod and Minecraft are so successful and timeless is because they have so many tools for the community to keep making new content

and from what I'm seeing about Gary's mod, its the same as changing server settings and using lua instead of cpp

Well for one lua is a lot easier than cpp, many people can learn to use lua

For simple modding I dont think there is a significant difference of difficulty

The client side lua has some examples, like Flappy bird in game.

The point of the lua api would be to be able to do everything you can do in cpp but it just makes it 10x easier

Any average person can learn how to use lua pretty easy, not the same with cpp

And we also reenabled 0.6 mouse behaviour by default (I think?) recently

And I am currently experimenting with scripting on the client-side, but it is a hard problem to solve and it won't be ready for a while for official teeworlds. However I plan on releasing it anyway when I get to a satisfying state.

I'm probably just nit-picking but I get 3500 fps in another client and only 2000 in 0.7 teeworlds. Seems weird to be missing 1500 fps.

@Kpro not showing quads would break a lot of maps

That's why ddnet has a button to toggle it, but I still don't think it would break that many maps
