Anyone tell me how to add maps to my server?

do i just copy them into the maps folder?

Im also collecting maps at my website as many of them in for forum seem to be dead or not responding anymore or are using shady file hosting servers

Yes, just copy them and they can be set on your server by command

@MarisaG if you have a collection of maps, I'd be happy to add them there

i only have what was there so far, but many of them got errors... Working on a script to create voting links for the maps. Will post it when done...

Race maps must be ported to 0.7. There are scripts for that

Ok, I have my add maps script ready. Here is description & link:

This tool will scan your maps folder and create a config file with voting options for all the maps in your maps folder. You can use this to rebuild your config after adding maps to your server. I do have the repos in github, but prefer to post the official releases to sourceforge

For a teeworlds map how to find out if its a 0.7 map and the 0.7 external mapres should be used or if its a 0.6 map?

I don't think there is any obvious way. Maybe @redix or @heinrich5991 can think of one

There is a tool to convert 0.6 maps to 0.7 so you don't have to make it embedded either way
