@Zatline the main problem imo is that the tab switcher is inherently at the top, so all the navigation should be there as well

Making useful buttons on the top and bottom of the screen isnt good for usability yeah (edited)

And if you can't decide which, there's the tiny benefit for the top that it used to be that way in previous versions

i think i destroyed something as i deinstalled visual studio 2012

stdlib.h is a C standard library

VS is your C/C++ environment, if you uninstall you can no longer compile, unless you have another one

i have vs 2017 installed... but vs 2012 uninstall removed some parts...
