On ctf8 there're some places where the tee doesn't stand on the ground. These tiles should probably not be used for the floor? Or we would need some grass tiles to cover it.
if you have f1 opened and use arrow keys to get previous written message typed to f1 it will also use the arrow keys in the normal menues if possible //fixed i guess - flag isnt fixed on other play...

@Zatline the new ninja countdown thing works right away?
old maps use old tilesets wich are not external so the client doent download them and uses the technically wrong tileset.
skins are wrong rendered or the feet in the .png are wrong placed, because they are too far left
sure, you can still make mods, but not that good and not with all stuff you could in 0.6. youre just not free anymore, and since he Just made that because HE is against modding, i can say that he is stupid IMo

hes not even listening to what the community wants, just doing whatever he wants
guy... stop crying
the only removed feature is broadcasting
breaking compatibility is usual for major versions. it's sometimes needed to get rid of old (and insecure) stuff
except for the broadcast thing modding should be mostly the same. you may have to implement some features in a different way but i don't know about anything that you can realize in 0.6 but not in 0.7
considering the map thing... write a script to fix old maps. make it embed the old tilesets or even better: map the old indices to the new ones
@redix Especially if the extended spectators PR is merged, then there would be no need for hacks to add more clients

For broadcasting you can maybe use "*** Broadcast: ..." server messages, and optionally have it changed to an old-fashioned broadcast in client mods. Just a suggestion
but one thing: when anyone here decides to readd the broadcast to the protocol in a custom client... don't just add simple netmessages
rather port the protocol extension from ddnet so we have an extensible system for protocol additions that does not mess with other custom clients

I don’t know why the ddrace community is such a toxic place…. Why ddrace just don’t simply fork the game and do their own stuff and move on…
If teeworlds 0.7 is that bad for your mod fork the game and do your own stuff. It’s very unfair and stupid to offend the game dev from a game which enabled mods like ddrace in the first place. Without Teeworlds your mod would have never happened.
There are already forks like Ninslash out there. That’s totally ok, everybody is cool with it and they don’t have to offend Teeworlds developers or the Teeworlds community. If the DDrace Com and Devs can’t identify with the direction in which Teeworlds is heading, it’s their turn to take a different road.
So please do us a favor and stop with your stupid toxic engages!
Thanks.
Nothing is wrong with teeworlds 0.7. Mods always broke with major versions. Teeworlds never had any kind of modding support. Everybody that makes a mod knows, with the next major version I have to redo and rethink things... as I said, if this is a problem for ddrace they have to fork the game and are than able to do what they want.
this whole 0.6 to 0.7 compatibility break reminds me a lot on the bitcoin protocol update indrodusing segwit where every major company was against it becouse it broke their batching algos they had to put in work and rework it what they didn't want so they were toxic and starting a counter campaign against the devs trouging shit on them this went on over years and had it's peak last year .. eventually the devs and community won, segwit activated all major companies had to update their algos what they then did and now the network is working more effeciantly than ever befor lol
breaking compatibility can be a good thing
but fact was that big companies like Coinbase were spaming the network due of their bad batching and with Segwit they had to rework it and now the network is working very nicely no spam at all
well I know what side I stand on I go with the devs regatless they are the only people I trust even if that is against the trustlessness nature of btc protocol they the only who are compitent enough to prevent a disaster making the network worthless .. they sort out incompitent devs like Jeff Garzik and those other that didn't do good for years(edited)
