Personal post: I've decided not to promote Rilla's future tournaments / event that involves him as Organizer. This is a solely biased decision, due to the community not being moderated to an appropriate point and not having proper arguments about rules and necessary information, which should be discussed, but gets ignored or pushed away. Why am I posting it for the public?
  • I'm sure you are aware of Rilla, a german streamer who plays Teeworlds occasionally, as well as other games. Rilla is a type of guy, who will tell you to not bother with things he sets up, because this is how he rolls with it. Wouldn't be a problem with this, unless the Teeworlds tournaments [In this case No Tilt Tournaments] are organized by him specifically, where decisions mostly rely on him, because he is the founder of this tournament brand.
About him organizing the tournaments, there were multiple occasions, where Rilla didn't care about the tournament to a point, where he even got drunk mid-stream and did stupid shit, while a prized... mind you, 100€+ prized tournament is going. While this childish behavior with a supposedly, professionally set up tournament doesn't combine well, on his streams, he is a cool, understandable dude, who enjoys the tournaments, but on the other sides, where you meet him in Discord, he changes tounges in a metaphorical way. I'm posting this to public, so that the community should know, or at least expect the type of events you will sign onto, since my priority will always be having communities brought together in a non-toxic way. Ok, so Rilla is different on Discord, what does it mean with the way you want to bring communities together in a friendly way? What did Rilla do to not be a part of this idea?
  • I've known Rilla for around a year, maybe less. I've known him for doing GCTF tournaments and playing other games outside Teeworlds. He sounds like a cool dude, so I wanted to ask him stuff or just communicate with him in general. It happens often, but I've got really excited participating on his No Tilt Tournaments and meeting the GCTF community. I was suddenly surprised by the fact that many of those GCTF players don't know 80%+ of the modded community, but only Vanilla Teeworlds, which is mind blowing with the amount of participants being involved in. (Around 50 players participate in his tournaments).
I was involved in 1 tournament and 1 event, which Rilla and the others hosted, but mainly driven by Rilla. The first tournament I've participated and joined to was, underwhelming in a way... I didn't know what will happen, since I had to watch his stream all the time to get results. Not a good way of communicating with people, who themselves don't event know that modded communities exist. Anyway, I've formed teams and got ready for the rounds, but suddenly, my partner decided to rage quit, so I was alone, making it a 1v2. I was confident, that Rilla will let me have a third member join, in case this happens, but he not just ignored the presence of my partner missing entirely, he also laughed about it and went along with it. Very unprofessional like, as I was playing a 1v2 and lost obviously. Matter of fact, I wanted to argue with him, that isn't there an other way to play normally? He said he didn't care and I should move on. So with a furious anger I had towards him, I did. I didn't way a word afterwards, I left the stream and went to bed in agony. This was the first time I was feeling incredibly depressed over the whole situation, because the hoster of the tournament didn't care about my situation. Now let me say one thing: As a tournament Organizer, you are there to solve the fundamental problems, that occur mid-game, involving Server side and In game problems. Rilla was both Organizer and Manager of the mods, making it very trouble some for people who want to solve problems, that only Rilla can solve. Rilla didn't solve it, instead he brushed it off. This was a disappointment in my book.

Moments forward, my respect to him decreased over time, but suddenly, out of nowhere, he was planning to make a GCTF mapping tournament. This was actually nice to hear, mappers getting their chances to experiment and do stuff competitively! I was excited and went on participating. Long story short on this one, the tournament ended and everyone has a good time seeing stuff. I even got the chance to speak with Rilla, even if my conversation with him was not clear at most. It was something that I totally respected and from there, I only hoped to have more experiences like this, since Rilla actually provided help and the tournament had better, detailed info on what to do, so people didn't misunderstood anything! This was how an Organizer should do it's job, Rilla did care for that. Then, what I thought would be a perfect opportunity to get involved in Rilla's next tournament... I was shocked a bit. The tournament did not have many infos, besides the Date, the Participation closing date and the Type of the tournament. There is no information on what is allowed and what is not, there is no info on who is going to moderate the servers. The community is having a debate on what is allowed and what is not, and Rilla don't want to be involved in it, while this is his job, to be involved in situations which you have the answer for and the explanation behind it. Rilla, who is supposedly the main leader and decision maker of the tournament won't take the tournament seriously, as he said to us. He said: "I don't care about the tournament, but I still do it." I immediately thought about the events of my first participation of this tournament brand. I know he won't take effort to make the tournament as best as it can be. I know he will not resolve problems on his own, or not resolve it at all if it involved participants. I know he is as lazy as a rich monopoly owner, owning his own properly, but do not care for the residents inside of it. This is a true metaphorical example of Rilla. To the point: Because of situations, where Rilla did not do anything / pushed aside the problem / ignored the problem / potentially manipulates free speech on his platforms / Ignoring the ways of growing his tournament brand, the only logical action for it to not support Rilla's tournament and not be involved in tournaments / event, that has Rilla as Organizer in it. Why are you writing so long documentary about Rilla? If you do not want to be involved in it, why do you need to post it or share your thoughts about it? Wouldn't you receive hate from Rilla's community?
  • I was waiting for this actually. As I wrote, more than 80% of his community don't know modded Teeworlds communities, so if they try to spread hate on it, they'll explore the modded Teeworlds communities, which is a win for us. Rilla wouldn't send his community to "ratio" me or make fun of me, that'll only mean more popularity toward Teeworlds Data and me in general, however that is not my intention. My intention with this post is to be aware of Rilla's surrounding and things that he does. I don't hate him, but I despise him as a Teeworlds Organizer. This isn't a personal hate post, this is a personal topic of interest. I want to send a message to Rilla, that whatever he does, has consequences. I want to share all this info, because I want you all to think twice, when participating Rilla's tournaments / events.

------------------------------ Why go this far?
  • I could've sent a private message to Rilla, that what he does is not professional, or just straight up wrong. I have experiences on hosting tournaments and helping people host tournaments as an Organizer. I have more, than 9 years of experience in Teeworlds and the modded community equally and I had many wrong doings and mistakes, which I've learned from them. When I say Rilla did something wrong, it had a good reason behind it and he shouldn't be offended about it, but should he have self refrection on why I write things, like that to him.
I could've sent a less detailed, but more on-point documentary on where Rilla is messing things up, but Rilla's mindless community wouldn't agree or even care with it, since people care of Rilla's tournaments, regardless of the situation. I could've spreaded hate about Rilla on discord servers, which he had great popularity from advertising his tournaments / events, but that would result in me being a faggot and have me potentially be banned on multiple discord servers. I don't do any of this, since I want Rilla to read it, message me on what I think about his actions, let me tell it and have him think about it. This is a proper way to do it, because I want him to think about my problems with his Organization. Consider it an opinion, but this was supposed to be a guidance on how to be a better Organizer and how to improve your popularity of your tournaments / events in the future. I won't read any of this, why should I care about Rilla doing things he shouldn't?
  • It isn't about him being bad at Organizing, it is about him do not giving a slight shit about his community and the people who would want to join in, including me, equally. Read this documentary in order to understand it.
