Not moderators it’s /power and realistically someone could include that within a client if they wanted to, t client has similar things, so no1 would pay
The phrase 'What the GM' is ambiguous. 'GM' can commonly stand for 'Good Morning,' 'General Manager,' 'Grandmaster' (often used in chess or gaming contexts), or 'Genetically Modified.' Could you please clarify the intended meaning?
i feel like the short map medium map etc is a good thing as well as 3 stars could be somewhat good however in its current form it totally sucks as maps like candyland have the same difficulty as fikvie
11:35
why is candyland in main
11:36
but implenting one without the other just seems like bad idea
11:37
but in the end i dont even get the need of deleting 5 stars
11:37
if something works why change it?
11:37
it creates problems in maps difficulty being super confusing as maps with hugely different difficulties are in the same category
There is a simple term for it: Evolution
Things change over time, either better or worse (thats highly opinionated). But in the end we are in the position to change things - although it is very unlikely that we switch back to 5 star in near future. Long term (2+ years) it might be considerable if someone puts effort into it again.
But there are still open/missing issues/features
You, as a player, often just see that someone isnt working the way you expect it & you want others to fix it. Which is per se the correct approach, but on the other hand we are not getting paid nor are working full-time on this project due to private life and whatsoever.
We are slowly migrating to open source, so any help regarding that is highly appreciated. If you are not into tech & just want to enjoy the game, thats fine, there are other approaches to help -> KoG Governance Board (but here also lack of activity).
To sum this up, most people that are into a specific topic want to change something from one to another day without thinking about consequences & possible drawbacks. At the first glance any chance sounds good & reasonable (mostly).

If you dont like the current implementation, please open an issue on Github proposing a change. The current formula is available at either github or the 2025.11.3 release page

and so it decided to rate a 50second map with only 1 decently hard part for BEGINNERS the same difficulty as a 7min record map with many hard parts 1,2tiles

You clearly have no clue how candyland is structured, you probably only looked at the first 10 seconds of the map, completely ignoring the final 10 seconds of main 2-3 parts and are on mount stupid now.

simplifying the rating is great, I doubt its possible to consistently rate maps e.g. 3* compared to 4*
if the map is unbalanced, when in doubt: use the higher difficulty. imagine being an actual easy player and you play a map rated for your level and get through most of the map and then it just gets way harder at the end, how frustrating would that be?
bro you rly rate maps before reading how new rating works

the opposite is also true imagine playing main 1 stars to practice and then you just get joke of a level which is candyland in 1 star and only the last part is somewhat decent but still super easy, just dont rush

The map was released on 2021-05-04. Map quality / gameplay changes over time without maps being adopted
-# Disclaimer: I do not say that this map contains bad quality parts, but at the time of release, other standards were applied(edited)

As there is currently no "standardised" computer-guided way of rating a map, it is opinionated.

If someone is interested in improving this and/or providing a way to rate maps automatically, highly welcomed to propose something(edited)

@Sena yo, sorry for the ping. I was banning "pos 2" and also banned you after I wrote the same command by accident (up arrow), it managed to give you his ID instead after his ban. I am sorry and you are unbanned already(edited)
