Pros asked for private server a lot in the past to just avoid trolls, spam votes etc, I dont think it helps with ddos protection that much but playing extreme maps nowadays is very risky, just look at length of some. 5 hours of gameplay just to get ddosed. Nobody ever agreed to do that and now I as can see its only happening when crack is playing. I dont think its fair for other players.
