I am not sure if we can use another platform other than discord and our website since that would mean our whole staff team would need to use kook.(edited)
Maybe were just different people. But its clear what people wanted, before the mods/admins shoved this peoples throats, cause those [A] servers were never populated

Never been banned once, but I do have you on block and have to unblock these messages constantly to see what youre writing even
This is what happens with every gd damn project onlien now. People make something beautiful, it grows, some people get power, they want to now control it.

Every single project, every single space

And I know from conversations with Blue that there are good reasons for it, but im just sick of it, especially when its forced down people like this

The account system prevents cheating, ban evasion, name theft, and other types of benefits that will be implemented. There are casual servers still open, feel free to continue to play on them." This is a lie

Facts are simple: The community rejected their registration and segregation by not playing on the servers that had it, now they are forcing people through the absence of choice
Its just a waste of time to argue with you lmao, youre so fixated on your idea that having to register is the end of the world even though its literally irrelevant and changes nothing
1. It goes against the ethos of the kind of project that especially Teeworlds was and is, with open sourcecode, open access, open discussions about the future of the project and so on. Nothing here has been discussed publicly.
2. It destroys the new player experience by giving them the worst possible experience on a very limited selection of barely moderated servers where veteran players are no longer expected to play.
3. Increases barriers of entry.
4. The community soundly rejected registration, segregation and refused to play on [A] Servers when there was a more even distribution of them and they tried to nudge this on players. Now they are forcing it on players.
5. Forcing something on players on a community that was developed over 8 years in an open enviornment nad has a privileged status in the open source client that makes it near impossible for anyone to compete iwth KOG servers for gres is really wrong.
6. The moderation community is getting increasingly focused on mass market appeal, makiung the discord a pricilege/partner site, making the game typical of commercial project and so on. To the point where even words like fck and such are censored here. Basically some of the freedom is dying off and I'd like alternatives to exist to that more rigorous future

Why, open and free discourse is what Im looking for, not tailored opinions to push a narrative

you might even agree with me on something, that would be novel

Ok so 2: literally makes no sense, almost every other game requires players to register and is not seen as a problem whatsoever, and if you would check you would see that the same veteran players as before still play on the new servers.
3: the only new barrier of entry is the need to register, which takes 5 minutes (a little longer with migration) but its not a barrier for normal players at all
4: I dont get this point since as far as i know it was planned to make all servers [A] from the start, just not all at once since players were still migrating
5: Its still an open enviroment for everyone, this is just to make banned players unable to join the servers, this has nothing to do with making it hard for others to challenge KOG since i literally dont see the connection between those points, the tab has been there for a long time and noone has ever complained about this
6: What mass market appeal? KOG doesnt make any money off the players so i dont see how enforcing the rules which have been there for a long time is bad in any way, and its definitly not that censored as youre making it out to be
Each project is allowed its own independence of course but Teeworlds as its own project was always very open and DDNet holds regular feedback sessions, polls and has existed for far longer yet manages without this intrusiveness... But sure I know nothing, yet you are now the one that "wont answer"

1. it has been talk about previously, not specifically about having accounts but KoG 2.0 has been in the works for a long while.
2. the servers will still be of same quality, I do agree that they may be moderated slightly less but that doesnt mean they will have the worse experience, when the migration phase is complete, actually registering for an account will be far easier and straight forward, just because a server doesnt require an account doesnt mean it will be left in the dust, otherwise whats the point of having the servers.
3. it will, yea thats true, although as said previously the process will be much quicker
4. If people rejected it, then why do so many people play on servers with [A] already, plus while it might be a slight inconvience it makes servers far less likely to be targeted by hackers and botters etc, making servers safer and a better experience, which I am sure a lot of people will agree is a good thing.
5. its not being forced on anyone, like you said yourself, there are still servers, yes there are only a few of them but they are still there and if you choose not to create an account then there is still an option to play.
6. so what your saying is language that is generally considered as nsfw or unsafe for children should be allowed on a game that is played by children? swearing and such is prohibited for a reason, better to have a friendly environment than a toxic one(edited)

1. KoG 2.0 was a meme. The actual implications werent discussed.
2.There is a limit on the quality by the sheer lack of quantity, people can't just "look" for veteran players if they are new to the game, they dont know who they are even in regard to Shoyos inane reply.
3. Multiple registrations have been frowned upon and seen as a relatively large barrier of entry which is why even large corporation like Microsoft don't force it for say Age of Empires 2 while EA and Bethesda suffered for having forced it on Steam users.
4. People rejected it when the distribution was more even, now that its not even the advantage is wholly on the other team and yet even so more people are choosing to play on Rus and Turk servers (that used to be empty) than to register.
5. If the idea is not to force anyone, lets dispell this myth and have it 50/50
6. Yes. It has, it is, children use it themselves, its public knowledge and its a fact. And it has worked for a decade. Anything done now is just the growth of "internet cabals" as is common on every platform, with people finding excuses to further extend their moderation. It almost always goes in one direction only. Just like in real life with more and more restrictions. Active moderation can still block really harmfull content, but continous passive moderation stiffles discussion and freedom.
Find me a public poll or a point of discussion or anything that actually put the future of KoG 2.0 to any kind of public scrutiny before all this went public

Look if something big is "planned" all I ask is that people get a chance to comment on it.
If [A] Servers arent necessar to comply with the law as is now, then at least add a few more none [A] servers for us who dont play them

Cause I care about the internets and now Im here caring about KOG, at other times im caring about laws like the one they are trying to pass right now in the EU
So the main problem with map is quality of gameplay. I understand that part direction comes straight from map name and its just going up and down but sticking to this idea might be too hard for you now. The parts are lacking basic structure, the best way to understand it is to compare with other released maps (Im gonna use main maps as reference). The spacing inside tunnels is too incosistent, you should also try to work more with hookable tiles cuz most of the parts on map are made by just straight freeze lines sticking out of the walls. Anyway if you made map in more traditional way (keeping variety of directions) and kept it simple, it would be easier for us to tell you more. Right now this map is nowhere near being releasable but I see the potential in your mapping, Also dont limit yourself to something like you sent, treat mapping like expressing yourself. And below some examples of totally random main maps I chose so pls compare it with your map and draw conclusions from it (all maps are quite simple in gameplay but very effective)
if you showed your messages to some random person they would think youre talking about the government or something, when ur actually talking ALL THIS about having to register in a 2d game
@Deploid kidnapped me in a secret iceberg mansion so I would join his clan and send him money irl... you see right through their lies @Achul don't listen to the haters !! (edited)
yes, but now when looking back I understand I was wrong, Blue explained to me that I actually am not imprisoned and not forced to join [A] servers, now I can understand what we are creating is actually a utopia for all men. We are getting more free with [A] servers!

Thank you for your affirmation of me! I do realize that I sacrificed a lot of gameplay for the overall aesthetic, I'm actually a gores rookie XD and for the time being I want to make this map a simple map, using the editor already makes it difficult for me! I don't have the energy to polish this map to make it longer, I'm going to remove the missing hammer in the middle and make changes to make the cliffs a little slower

Hello! Good to see new mappers . First of all the point balancing is one of the main issues. Even if its insanse some parts are just too hard and dont have any save places, they are also lacking in structure. 90% of the map is just tunnel with random freeze/hookable in it. A good part forces the player to go in different directions with different movement techniques, what you kinda did in the middle section in your map. Another problem is the start/spawn - its way too small. Always imagine 64 people playing your map! There are also some design bugs like not rounded freeze edges and always put the spawns one tile above ground. Also i think the bg is stolen by the map TRILOG1GIA idk if you asked for permission
Depends, both probably dies either from the explosion or the fall. But if you don't, you probably didn't fly that far and you'll have to manually cross the last stretch in which you should beat the turtle(edited)
Paper ball is lighter and at a certain amount of force, the heavier object is easier to throw further. The air resistance will be increasingly negative for the smaller lighter object(edited)
