if their player base is much bigger than the kog playerbase they can find genetically special players even if they are not all genetically special which could result in china catching up to pros

Both bring very valid points. Maybe you should play t0, solo and small teams? Perhaps a decent mix is the best way to go about it?

i guess because of my t0 only playstyle for a long time i cant speedrun so its a tradeoff

I play a lot of t0 and I'm very used to random people suddenly changing direction or falling onto you, it creates an awareness that I see a lot of others don't have. You also learn patience and how to play safe/smart. But it is not an efficient way to practise as sometimes you're lying in freeze for quite some time, so mechanically solo is faster. Then you have small teams to bring that all together and learn how to play harder maps with decent players (edited)

Smaller teams are generally more tryhard and some can struggle mentally with that and lose focus or get too nervous when they play with others that are good at the game (edited)

Yes, I see this a lot. Someone tries a hard part in a way that makes them un-save-able from behind so now everyone must pass through and the last person who fails gets the blame and not the one who just jumped in without thinking about what happens if I fail

Or if there is a skip for them, they just go immediately and someone behind them fails and now they have to go all the way back, the long way, to save the person that failed before the skip. Suddenly it's that persons fault and not the "skipper" that should've waited 2 more seconds just to make sure the other person made it to the skip safely

He probably not used the URL to whitelist himself, but recently a new filter has been applied and IN THEORY, you should not need to use the URL anymore if you use the original (or forks of it) client of DDNet
