I do not agree. Editor is not (jsp comment on dit : intuitif) so its making it really hard to understand + superperposion of diferents assets, animations etc

An intuitive software=un logiciel intuitif * The greatest source of info about "superposition of different assets, animations etc" are existing maps. It's rly ez to open a map and see how things are made

First set a door tile (this is the tile where you can see a laser door between grass at the very bottom of the game tileset) and then put the laser length tile next to it. this will indicate a direction and define the length of the door (edited)

Right click then press a or q, and restart. Just play to learn

You need to learn precisely how much force you have, whenever you hook and for how long duration. Sometimes a single click is enough to send you to the roof, since you don't know how much velocity you get from it. This is the same concept, but sideways, but it's easier to control.

i find that if i never train something it never gets learned, if i just play and not specificly target stuff to learn then i dont improve =( so you dont hold a directional key to do that? i understand, thank you for helping me =)

So you're NOT hooking + pressing A/D at same time, nor constantly holding A/D and timing hooks ; You first hook, then a fraction later press a or q and hold both the necessary amount of time. Did I understand correctly?

For staying still from hooking the right side, you need to time your hook according on how much you hold left.(which in this case you can think of the hook as going right, but stronger; the closer you are to the wall) (edited)

You need to balance out the velocity you get from going left (With D) and going right (With Hook)

that is why people release the hook and the direction to counter the force of the hook, so that they can position themselfs better

It's not complicated, it's just that you need to experience it further in order to get a good feeling of it. Mostly KoG won't do much for you, try to mix styles like DDRace and other stuff, like Block and FNG, so that you can get a feel on how they move and how you can replicate them.

ddrace is slow and methodical, im very used to that.. after a year or 2 of ddrace im still not comfortable even on aip gores xD this is like a different game

@Avolicious hi, i find that in the bot of discord, in the bot.py file I came to this, to find where the heck the bot was seeing the dots etc, but I don't know what kwargs is, or rather, I know what it is used for but I don't know where it comes from called the DDNet class

Yes, experienced people can spend all day mid air like that. I assure you u will learn this in a week or two. You just need to geta hold of gores physhics, u will learn by yourself easily.

@SnSmNtNs here are 2 examples. in the first one i keep holding the direction key because in a 2 tiler you need to be more precise and have as little vertical movement as possible. in the 2nd example, which is the more common method you press a directional key away from the wall for some time and counter the momentum with a hook. overall you use movement keys for a little longer than your hook because hook generates more momentum
