Everytime you write something, there's only "mimimi crying this doenst work... mimimi, why are some players better than me on scoreboard... mimimimi crying moreservers are lagging"... <ragemode> First of all, developing features isnt that easy as you might know we're trying to get the best price/performance servers for the money we spend. I'm currently working on making KoG server more performant by tweaking some internals. Furthermore, most of our servers arent 250€ /month maschines as it would definitly explode our budget... You're playing for FREE for years now ( Thanks to all donators & QshaR for keeping this up FOR YEARS FOR FREE!!!!

). We are aware that sometimes there's a ddos on our servers, but we definitly cant stop that one as it would be very expensive. Everyone in KoG - administration / moderation is doing this in his spare-time, voluntarily. Sometimes we receive a thank you or donations for that service. We appreciate the contribution from our community, but only "mimimi" from you is kinda bullshit. Personally im tired of reading your useless comments, your criticism will be taken seriously, but we cant fix your local internet connection. Then there is moderation topic, well ok for you our community is too small to have at least 1 moderator and its ok to have 200 german people there (I dont have anything against most of them), but its at least understandable. "We wanted to pay" is not the same as "We pay for"

But okay, paying for a server is awesome but not necessary. We even dont want you to pay for a server with 10 people on it... thats bullshit tho... we only start kog servers in regions where alot of players are located. ( South Africa will be shutdown next month, as its empty

)... We dont add moderators just to have a moderator from a specific country. Moderators do have a lot of access... so being a mod has something todo with trustworthyness & your personal attitude ( yours is toxic tbh ). Giving ideas != ideas are useful How are "business" develop decision are being made? - Quick Guide In modern development environments you use Kanban/Scrum ( sprints and so on ) to work efficient. In our case, as we are 2 developers - qshar & me - we are working with Kanban only, we're discussing features internally & try to evaluate how worth this feature/task is. Spending 6 months for a new points system, which is only being used by nearly 25% of the community for example, is not that worth as implementing latest ddnet features like DDNet spec. YES we know that you guys do have alot of ideas & we mostly agree with new content, but you need to understand that this is a productive system & we have to test alot of stuff. And I am not even talking about the time used for development, because I want to play either

QshaR & (me, myself & I) are spending a ton of time into maintenance & development. ( We are working / studying.. & sometimes playing other games, we are just a gamer like you ) Q: So why you dont even try that now?!?!?!? I want that feature!!!!!! NOOOOOW!!!! Well, this would result in discussions. Discussions leads to less development time... Less development time -> less efficiency... less efficiency -> less features

its really nice to see that you are so active avo, in 1 month more than qshar basically ever. But i think ddnet handles most stuff just better they are open source, transparent, have moderators, no kog member only advantages

QshaR made a lot in the past. He basically setup the whole server infrastructure which is awesome

He worked years to maintain! Keep that in mind!!!! Open Source is nice ( agree with you ), but we're developing internals & a lot of bot detections. If this would be open source, we could stop that too ^^ Transparency is our goal in 2021, we're trying to be more transparent. ( But its not that easy ) We do have moderators, but DDNet is bigger than our community. ( Too many moderators leads in longer discussions & you have to find trusthworthy people ) KoG only advantages are fair enough as KoG is the clan behind the servers

thats good to hear, ddnet also has anti bot features, and just hide it behind a stub I agree, the maintaince qshar did is nice, but since he wasnt really active in development kog is like 5 years behind ddnet, kog should be a fork of ddnet, then we have advantages from both sides

DDNet's anti-cheat is open source... well we dont know if they're using a modified version, but there is some code on it on github. So cheats can be easily developed without being detected as they know how to trigger the bot detection

True, but its not needed right now & to open an issue you have to collect information & write your idea. It also results in major core changes, which is unlikely to happen
