@q seems like the "Don't change map" vote thing duplicates good ole F4... esp since it can be overridden by a "Change map" vote. maybe there's another reason I'm not seeing?
ok I guess it stops people from calling votes every 15 sec... but as side effect doesn't let you change difficulty before changing map. imo doit like ddnet: huge delay for vote caller only when a vote gets rejected. this "don't change map" thing makes sense now that you've explained it, but is not very intuitive or otherwise explained ingame. I thought "Don't change map" was a joke vote (no-op), like some servers have "fv". build the wall make america great again
that make sense. I'll investigate how is it handling in ddnet and what commands do they use. We have a different source, but this is something that might be useful

@ChillerDragon I know you are close to ddnet. can you tell me what exactly commands and values do they use for votesdelay
I never looked into the system but what i now from playin on ddnet is that if you join a server with other players on it you have to wait a few seconds to make a first vote

if the server is empty you can directly vote.

And there is no such thing as do not change map on ddnet

do not change map is only needed on kog because almost all votes pass if at least one person presses f3(edited)
A good thing about „do not chance map“ vote is that you get some extra time to press f4. If u are playing a map with few plattforms, you have to press f4 while being in the air which could make u fail. By having to do 2 votes to change it, you have 40 seconds to press f4
