I don't know if it's a bug or not, but sometimes my fps drops sharply from 900 to 100, I have to go into the settings and change the fps to less or more, this happens a couple of times every 10 minutes
ok after multiple times where i switch to fulscreen and back to windows borderless it works, but yeah its kinda weird that fullscreen doesnt work for me anymore

its also kinda annoying, bcs i used to play with a stretch res and it only works with fullscreen
Can you do the same btw. By checking the last few versions to see which still works. All versions can be downloaded here https://ddnet.org/downloads
If you don't feel like doing that. I think using a lower resolution/window size can help avoiding windows forcing fulldcreen rendering even in windowed mode. You can also try that. Windowed mode has input latency though.
I think he wants you to check older versions to see if its the update problem

Some other people says it works fine for them if they just launch it multiple times. So this can very likely be random

But still, an older version might never have this problem to begin with. Maybe every time this randomly happens in the future you downgrade one version?(edited)
