Nixos, next to gentoo is one of the hardest distros there are

Weirdly, I feel like it is possible to just make a GUI for managing the nix file in a very beginner way to at least get it running apps. Like as a regular user, the purity, hard reproducibility and home management is probably less important than just having a system you could start using and can install apps without worrying too much about driver gores. And with nix-ld if can behave like a regular system more or less where you can still just download apps off internet and use them.
