I'll agree that difficulty ratings are all over the place, but 5* novice is most definitely still novice

so what do the dificulty stars mean if not dificuty

the stars are like sub-difficulties

1* moderate is more difficult than 5* novice

and 1* brutal is more difficult than 5* moderate

and 5* novice is obviously more difficult than 4* novice, which is harder than 3* novice and so on

thats confusing

If it wasn't like this then the range would go from 1* to 20*

better to look at points for difficulty

Maybe the categories could get ditched and we could individually rate maps with points instead?

but 8 star solos are defiently way harder so its not really exact

would allow for 6 point maps :P

yeah this I think is a bit of an issue, also all the old maps with difficulty ratings way lower than equivalent new maps

you join a "novice" server only to find out that the map is way out of your reach, when if the server just showed the point rating you'd know to stay to something slightly easier

I think re-rating old maps would be the most important thing, it'd add a lot of value to the system

ive seen groups of 10 or more people get softlocked on "novice" maps

I have a mapping bug/problem

When I am setting a Seed with automapping, my game ALWAYS crashes since the 19.0 DDNet client and I don't know why.

The 18.8 version works completely fine
