Like what the fuck it happend again first i woke up at 02:17 and then 02:39 for some reason if i go to sleep before 4am im waking up at these and cant fall asleep again what is this plot
meloƞ
And immediately closed it because you were scared of loosing hundreds of euros
the idea is that it is a national security threat being state controlled. so regulating it doesn't work since it is assmued to follow China's command instead of being compliant.
06:32
so basically they think it is impossible to regulate it as long as china controls it. they pushed for tiktok to sell to a US entity before and maybe got nowhere so it is just banned
btw what a sad state of software world, for some years now I buy things i used to borrow from internet
06:36
and more often than not i cant play them, because of weirdest licension check issues
06:36
or perma online requirements
06:37
for example blizzard warcraft 3... It's not up to date, when it launches client it says so so doesnt let me proceed but hteir launcher says its up to date, so im in a loop
06:37
and if i try to launch it without internet connection it says "check ur vpn settings" and grays out the "play offline button"
06:38
I would re-download it... but the game no longer weights 4GB as in the past but 40...
@Sans i do love it when it's done the right way. and maybe mostly in racing or faster games. the main problem of motion blur is that games just do it kinda wrong. game cameras has been simulating real cameras for decades but they still fuck it up on how wide the stutter angle could be and goes beyond 360 degrees which is physically impossible. Also the early 2000 ghost image type of blur that just overlays the previous buffer on top of the current frame is not motion blur.(edited)
I come from a platformer and FPS games background, motion blur is simply not a thing I want due do it obstructing very important details most of the time
i think motion blur nowaday is basically free if you have any temporal features on, since it is just motion vector with a relatively cheap shader. at least cheaper than bloom i think.
when I was young I fell into a bed and slept for years
12:33
now i can not sleep for 24h and be sick for next 10 days
12:35
(tho 24h was yesterday) all in all remember kids, either never do anything U will regret, or change personality to one that doesnt care, for better sleep!
@Learath2 since you are here, just want to quickly ask whether NixOS is good starting point. You can assume that I have 0 linux experience and I feel like I would enjoy a system where I can just redo to the same state everytime because I feel like I'm very trigger happy and break things too often
because i had to show people stuffo ne phone from time to time

nixos is quite straightforward if you just use the basic functionnalities, otherwise, you need to learn a language to have 100% reproducible builds
13:22
I used it for my phd and it was quite easy imo, but i didn't do any fancy stuff

I haven't had a chance to nix yet, but I hear great things about it. The system being declarative is pretty cool, you also seem to get almost gentoo levels of customization with the ability to easily fix fuckups
at least from what I've observed, Nix seems to be pretty good to not let me fuck up a system so bad and have to remember what I have done from the top.
the only thing about arch i'm scare of is me suddenly having a weird hobby that drive me away from it too long and have no idea how to update it half a year later.(edited)
man, in Tibia rn, there are literal excel sheets that track each of your healing / healing of teammates, damage, damager per hour, type of damage, and You literally get kicked out if U are suboptimal
@TsPiggy go play Tibia, some fellas havent talked to other players in Years (despite game being more and more team based in PVE, in PVP it was team based since 2006)
@TsPiggy damn, I still cant get over my dad's surprise that Rus and chinese can play on one server, because Rusia ban and chinese big firewall so 0 contact outside the firewall
They have a funny license, you're not allowed to distribute compiled binaries but you're allowed to download the source and compile it for your own uses
18:51
There are AUR packages that make it zero effort which is nice

I don't rember, I just downloaded libresprite, was like "wtf why is this basic thing not here", then looked at the aseprite manual to figure out how to do it, and turns out they had the feature, but it wasn't in libresprite
