pause and look around, if there are clusters of tees in any direction of you that basically means a no-go. usually going up or down helps since that could avoid clusters either above or below you(edited)

If the dummy connection asks for a REDIRECT, even the normal/main connection will be redirected, not just the new dummy connection, no matter if the TOKEN key is different, both will be redirected(reconnected)(edited)

Probably Steam trying to fix its registry keys. I guess you could change the permissions of the key but I wouldn't recommend messing with that should be reported to Steam as a bug (that the overlay causes issues)(edited)
