depends on what you do. complex gameplay takes a lot of time and testing takes a lot of time (your own tests with friends before uploading it for the testers). for me the hardest thing is to find ideas.
if you do a short map and know what you are doing you might need 10 hours or less but usually stuff takes time...
braintee took a month to get into testing, redline katana remake took a week or two
but at the same time i had a clear idea on how things should be mapped
entities first is better because sometimes you have to move a lot of stuff so having additional stuff to move can take a lot of time. this link helps you to transform entities into design (you need an automapper for your tileset)

google fonts didnt find robotic sga maybe you did a typo or i did something? though permanent marker is the best choice, since quick sand is litellary linear and arial too basic
