if you delete something then instead of the computer setting that area of the drive to all 0 it just says that that area can be overridden by new data in the future

Depends on the demo you can technically have both demos with map and without map. But yes iirc regular demos contain the map and it can be extracted I’m not sure if there is a tool for it or if it has to be built
