actual pain in a language you don't know
and extra pain when I put restrictions on myself
but I guess it's a decent way to learn how to do strings in any given language
For the second half of the problem I completely remove the sections between don't()s and do()s before I just throw the output of that into the same solution I had for the first part
For the first part if you're not doing it the obvious way with a single regex then I'd store the entire state (other than the output buffer) in a single enum
or if you want to write something more general you could write a way to match certain sequences of characters and then use that to update your matching state enum

actually I'm just now realizing that matching for multiple possible sequences has surprisingly many considerations

but if you're matching for a single word it's very easy to write

It was kind of bent due to hot tea standing on it every day. I tried to bend it back by putting it on the bügeleisen and bügeln it with a relatively low temperature and some backpapier over it to make sure it doesn't touch the iron.
This would theoretically straighten the plastic back but the iron was too small so it made it even worse
i mean, if the softeners already vanished (which they do over time), then i dont think u can really fix it

For next time:
Take it, put it in hot water (turn on your sink to max heat is enough)
Let soak for 15 minutes, and then just beschwer it with something heavy to get it back into shape
