Aiming is certainly changing to the worse between different zoom levels, I notice it espacially on other modes than ddrace (e.g pvp modes like ictf and block). Edge hooks are pretty common but in my personal opinion you don't really "aim" for them, but rather predict the angle a bit and use timing to hit it (tho that also differs between the actual edge hook). But all in all not much difference because I don't randomly change my zoom on drag parts often.

Playing v3 with default zoom would cause me to get snatched from all sides constantly. Tho we lowered the render distance so you can't see infinity kek

also i'm pretty sure we would not allow this but i think i should also ask just to be safe: have we passed any map since May that somehow requires you to have a certain level of zoom to complete more easily

ye sometimes it might be easier to land a specific edge if you move your cursor further or closer to your tee

in dash dummy zooming gives you an advantage, since you know when you have to catch etc but not sure what exactly you mean

it is a very tiny difference but it should be possible that some position are completely unreachable without a particular zoom level.

they did it just to make sure telecursor works, and they calculated it wrong for people using dyncam

well /tc was fully broken when released when you tried using it with zoom outside of /pause - so i think it wasnt thought through

i just send the target position the same as before, and send player's camera setting to server so the server can calculate the cursor position if it really needs too
