The RP4 supports at most 128 MiB of VRAM as far as I can tell. That's very likely not enough to run DDNet. Maybe you could try removing all images that are not strictly necessary, like all skins except default, country flags etc. from the data folder and see if that works.

F1, is there any error when loading the master server? Can you reach https://master1.ddnet.org/ddnet/15/servers.json in your browser? Try allowing DDNet to access the internet in your software firewall

You can try scaling down your textures, something along these lines could work find . -name "*.png" | xargs -i magick "{}" -resize 50% "{}" This will resize every image in your current directory to quarter resolution (half on each axis), recursively I recommend making a copy of the data directory before running this in case something breaks further

could also try something like -gamma .45455 -resize 50% -gamma 2.2 if the results of that first one look ugly (other than the lowered resolution)
