In automaps, What does NOTINDEX -1 do?

I've seen people with texture mods for the different weapons. Can I make a "pistol" texture for the hammer that still shows the direction I'm pointing? I use it a lot for gores so my brain knows where I'm going, but I have to switch to hammer to save anyone.

A simple texture pack won't allow changing animations, so you'll need a client mod if you want your hammer to follow your cursor

seems kind of a niche thing to want so there's no guarantee anyone has made it...

If there's any mod that already changes the animation of the hammer to follow the cursor I'll be able to make it. Otherwise I'd just need the set of hooks into the specific weapon animations

-1 is the index for tiles that are outside of the current tile layer (so tiles that do not exist) NOTINDEX -1 is often used to prevent the infinite repetition of a pattern on the edge of the map

I don't think it's possible to run a cfg file on key release with the DDNet client (nor any other key release bind) But you can still use 2 different keys as follows

bind a exec myFirstConf.cfg
bind b exec mySecondConf.cfg

Note that the .cfg files need to be in the ddnet directory %AppData% on windows or .local/share on linux

What are you aiming to do ? Some commands support to be used with the +toggle command which allows you to do what you want to do

I want to make a bind: when I hold W, I select the hammer, when I release W back, I select laser back

Replace $USERDIR with user and create an empty folder named user next to the data folder

Seems correct, but you should start over with a clean folder first. You still have the old settings and folders directly in this folder.

Yeah, download again from ddnet.org, unzip, change the storage.cfg and create the user folder

Yeah, that should work. Now all user files should be saved in the user folder, so you could put this on a USB stick

i think this can be done with dummy_control and complex .cfg files - what you describe was added in bot clients as a command and is actually forbidden - so either play around with .cfg files and dummy_control or find someone who has that

sadly not. i know that dummy copy with dummy_hammer can be triggered by pressing left mouse and right mouse at the same time, so the hook gets overwritten by the hammer, thus not triggering

dummy should be reinplementef completely. It is absurd what is possible and what is not and hoe hard or easy it is to do certain things.

i agree. either a proper way to do configuration ingame with an embedded text editor with auto completion for example, or change behaviour that certain things are easier to configure would be nice (edited)

Ehh I think there was a new smooth zoom thing. Maybe look into it. I haven't tested but it may be cl_smooth_zoom_time. If it's unrelated to that then idk
