I have introduced teeworlds to about 10 plp with a range of experience. The platforming part isn't the problem not even using the hook or weapons it's knowing how to use them to achieve a goal. Most of them require very direct instructions to do any novices until they do 5 maps. Which is actually a pretty non consequential amount of maps. However the random lobby has a bunch of people who 1. Don't know what 2 do and 2. Block other people so 3. Don't learn which makes it hard to... Well learn

it still doesn't disprove my point, i did introduce teeworlds to ~40 people and it really depends on interest and person's attitude to 2d platformers in general (edited)

it doesn't really have to do anything (except hosting more vanilla servers) with ddnet. ddrace, race and block trends came from tiktok, you should re-introduce vanilla mods as such on the same media to gain any people to fill at least 1 lobby of nooby public ctf5

My best idea is a drag from top left

Drag from left, put the tee inside where you're standing on, then hook through the 1 tile hole to the right, makes it easier, get to the endless hook then drag down, the person needs to react with double jump

Concluding that, it is definitely possible to circumvent the restrictions on copy moves by doing very very short inputs for cl_dummy_hammer 1. However, I don't think that this kind of input is doable consitently for a human player.

no, "+left; +right" doesn't work, the keyup from the direction you're moving messes it up :( so you do need two separate binds for left and right

I dunno what u cookin, we are talking about the behaviour of copymoves with cl_dummy_hammer 1, so binding +right or +left to ur deepfly hammer bind isnt changing anything (im holding d anyway)

That's the first thing I tried but it doesn't, when you release mouse1 it releases the direction you were holding

Case 3 Holding d with Risu's/Catseyenebulous bind, which stops main tee movement by counterstrafing (+left and +right at the same time) in the moment when cl_dummy_hammer is 1: bind mouse1 "+fire; +toggle cl_dummy_hammer 1 0; +left; +right" However: Desync in Weirdfly, because of dummy not counterstrafing aka stopping, when mouse1 is pressed. So it only works at ultra vertical speeds. (edited)

You can test it ingame. My example videos work because we are on ground, where the friction (or however its coded) stops u instantly on normal speed. But midair this wont work on non-low speed (edited)

I think we can assume this behaviour occurs, when cl dummy hammer is only on for 1 tick, so u would have to press m1 shorter then 20ms (1000ms/(50ticks/s)).

the top servers are always ddnet and unforutnaley are also some brutals (which noobs.. like going in). and ofc there rarely 4 players in a single ctf server

idk how it works but theres 3 things that can happen when you press differently, first only main hammer, second main+dummy hammer but dummy doesnt aim at you, and third that main+dummy hammer +dummy aim but copy move stops for the time you hold hammer (edited)

Normal deepfly bind. It's not easy but doable I'd say. Sometimes I felt like the input was too short so the dummy didn't hammer back which was a bit weird. Not sure if fps affect it.
