about the community

Gores is the gameplay style of AiP-Gores and similar maps, small corridors with freeze on all walls. DDNet/DDRace is the Co-op gamemode, pass maps of different difficulties through different variations of mechanics. ctf/ictf is a core teeworlds gamemode, (capture the flag) PvP, and lots of fun! then there are some smaller gamemodes: blocking = PvP, get your opponent into freeze, can be fun with a lot of people race = finish a race map as fast as possible, "unique" is the biggest community for that.

On the same screen you fill your name in, there's a field where you can enter a clan name. Clans aren't real in this, there's no UI to accept invites or anything like that. (edited)

Older client versions have this, 16.1 and lower. It's entirely visual and not worth downgrading for.

If you compile your own client, you could change it, yes. Some clients allow you to do this, I believe storma's client does this. Be careful to not download a client with cheats though, you'll just get banned
