It's actually pretty common for games to complain about your driver version, I've had it happen to me personally so I don't see why we should silently fail instead of telling them.

How long do you go spec? If you 1) press hook 2) go spec 3) unspec 4) release hook, then the hook will be released. You need to release the hook key before leaving spec so hook is held.

Are you holding the hook the entire time, then releasing after you unpause? Or is it simply releasing on its own. It's normal behavior for your hook to release if you release even after being paused
