Teleporting tees in general is fucky I think, I wonder if prediction or whatever could be optimized better. Seeing tees fly across your screen when killing / teleporting has to have some effect on performance
That doesn't happen to me - is that bound to actual prediction/latency ? I might want to see if this has something to do with high ping + antiping

It might be a high ping thing ya, I just remember doing a map and I would see tees double jump above me and disappear cause of a part requiring them to go into tele somewhere else on the map

I think it gets worse when multiple people are teleporting, but with just 1 person doing it it's only the double jump visible

I'm having an issue with launching the game on Linux. If I forcefully repeat launch it, it seems to sometimes work... but most of the time it just crashes with this dumped in the terminal

any known limiations? I'm running hyprland-git & using the 18.5.1 release of ddnet from AUR. Maybe aquamarine related? I could try flatpak release or ddnet-git but idk if that would be helpful in this situation.

I don't know, you could try upgrading/downgrading and see if that helps. Does the version from https://ddnet.org/downloads/ work?

the steam version does not work the version from ddnet.org does not work the aur version does not work the flatpak version DOES work

Create an issue in wayland repo and ask them why wayland is always unstable

what SDL version is shipped with flatpak? same as upstream?

If I'm being honest, I'm not sure how to find out this information. I know that it's using org.freedesktop.Platform/x86_64/23.08 as its runtime, but I don't know if SDL is included in that runtime or not. I try to avoid flatpaks when possible, but I figured it was worth a shot to fix the problem.

ik its so sad, the only two packages I use from flatpak is Sober for playing roblox once in a blue moon and now DDNet :( Hopefully things will get fixed eventually and I can use a naitive build. I'm still happy to help providing logs however I can if anyone is interested in the issue.
