speedfly is simpler, you only need to know 1 hammer rhythm and dj timing, pseudo also requires more adjustments, different hammer timings depending how/where youre flying

its not about points, everything changes over time, few years ago almost no one used pseudo, now its a skill that newbies learning after 100hrs

I think in the early game its more fun and useful to practice anything but pseudo - hook aim, dragging tees in the air or even hammerfly ffs You can easily get 20k points with 0 pseudofly (and probably more but I started using it a bit after that so cant tell) so if a new player want like 5k its free without pseudo

You can get ahead of the "noob" level pretty fast I would say considering what I see on Novice servers sometimes, but a lot of players who played for ages will still consider you "new" if you cant beat brutals or something like that

we will consider people "new" or "unexperienced" if they lack skillset's that are expected on a difficulty reaching brutal or lower insane's, but to be honest, most of it it just practice and well.. playing the game

While I would consider it before half way its still a big step beating your first brutals (I havent beaten 1 for like 3 years after getting my first points but I quit the game a lot and was also dumb sooooo)

remember when you played osu to aimtrain and then you had a phase where you played osu for 4 years? well that was me training edgehooks, i only played drag maps with edgehooks for like 2 months

for better or for worse the osu part didnt happen for me, but i get that xD
