Issue is that those can't join eachothers sevrers due to isps just blanket banning eachother

Even from Germany I have ping 40 on UKR server, which is fine enough. So I assumed POL would be good too since it's closer

It's actually both. Ukrainian policy currently is to disallow all connection to Russia, ISPs and hosters both follow this. They definitely won't make exceptions for our Kirby game.
