plus godot's XR is not really on par right now. networking is also a bit weak. even though unity doesn't have networking too, but I already have my networking stack developed from my last company.

i know these, because i've been making games in godot for a while now. If I ever do single-player, godot is perfect.

Ah, never tried it, and I haven't seen many games made with it
if you are asking about really old grass where it is just two quads. thoes are cutout which is also opaque but the shader draws depth based on alpha, which is why those are usually really aliased
havent heard about lubuntu, but mint has been a nice distro for me, it has worked (mostly) flawlessly ever since i installed it to transition away from windows

the only issue i can recall from the first month of using is the gpu drivers not properly starting because of secure boot
Generate short unique IDs in GDScript (Godot Engine) using Sqids. These identifiers are URL-safe, can encode several numbers, and do not contain common profanity words.
