i am not aware of a rule that forbids using VPNs, but there is a high chance your VPN will not work and you get a error "VPN detected"

is there a way to copy/paste multiple server settings in the editor? I wanted to put the slowmo thing from kobra 4 in my map but it uses like 20 tunes and typing each one by hand seems quite tedious

Eh, it's really not likely, it wasn't in a team, so I can't really move you there without risking everyone elses game

I'd basically have to inject code and if I make one mistake the entire server crashes and everyones runs are lost

It's not currently possible with the editor, I opened an issue for that: https://github.com/ddnet/ddnet/issues/8508 heinrich5991 mentioned

There are also the config_retrieve and the config_store tools to be able to edit configs in an actual text editor.

So you could try using those

teehistorian does log everything, but I can't investigate that one until the file is complete, that happens when the map changes or the server restarts
