I am pretty sure nobody "calculates" how high they go from hooks in gores. It's just muscle memory from practicing a lot.

Not like I don't have the skill for the map but that I will fall down at some point and won't be able to save

I am fully aware that map diff is highly subjective and star ratings are highly inaccurate for that reason

Gores parts are often a lot harder if you play dummy only. It's simply a lot harder to save mistakes if you play with dummy in gores part

I think you're massively underestimating how difficult ravillion is
