As a Turkish person, using Turkey or Türkiye doesn't matter to me. Probably a lot of player made pressure about it. The government uses Türkiye instead of Turkey for marketing purposes. Since 2021, made in Türkiye is used on exported products. In the middle of 2022, the government requested international foundings to use Türkiye on other languages. States and international foundings accepted this request. I noticed the name Türkiye is not used that much by foreign press and social life. In 2023, NATO and United Nations clarified they will use Türkiye in other languages. In conclusion, all these doesn't feel important to me. A foreigner who sees "Turkey" or "Türkiye" can understand they are both countries.
