Try the Tutorial again, and be persistent. Use t to chat with other players if you need help. If it's too hard, then the other maps might be way too hard.

You can add friends by pressing escape, selecting the "Players" tab and then filling the circle on the right of the player you want to add. (The one below the tee with the heart.) Alternatively you can add them from the menu.

versions 18.0, 18.0.1 and 18.0.2 have a broken autoupdate

if your game is on one of those versions youll need to download it again on ddnet.org if you dont use steam
