The theoretical maximum speed of China's high-speed rail can reach 520KM/H, but in actual operation, its maximum speed is 486.1KM/H. This actual maximum speed was set by the "Harmony" 380A new generation high-speed EMU developed by China South Locomotive and Rolling Stock Corporation during the joint debugging and comprehensive testing of the pilot section between Zaozhuang and Bengbu of the Beijing-Shanghai high-speed railway. This speed record demonstrates the advancement and excellent performance of China's high-speed rail technology.
