But that’s beside the point, I just pointed out which sound I think would cause the most issue in communication. You say si they would hear スィ, pæ is closer to the intended パ than ぺ, the tɘ is concerning since there is no sound that represents it in japanese, but IME the way most english speakers say it it ends up closer to tɵ which sounds closer to the intended ト than the other possibility テ. The vowel in mol uses the same pronunciation in both languages unless you are american and do the mɯl thing with the extra-short ɯ.
