Out of all those ubuntu had biggest driver problems, no mouse cursor (fixed it) then after getting ubuntu specific driver package for the gpu something defienietly went wrong as i was stuck with 640x480 and after an hour of "fixing" could only go up to 1024

No I mean like for the OS. After you get to the black screen PID1 has exit. Now control returns to the kernel, which just sends an acpi shutdown command to the motherboard

If acpi was broken somehow, windows couldn't poweroff either
i have no idea, and i doubt it's connected...but...
in short i used to, restart linux go to bios, press powerbutton to off pc, or get to windows and off pc

at first i tried with debian but i had kernel 6.1 internet claimed the issue kas kernel 6.1 but aren't they now on 6.5? or something like that i tried out the newest one and it still didnt work

You can try zeroing your cmos, but I can't see windows being able to shut down either with a corrupted cmos. They would be issuing the exact same acpi command to poweroff
personally i think i semi won the pc lottery, as everything just works ( except copying large amount of files on storage drive ) other than that cpu boosts up pretty well, and everything seems to just work, no random shutdowns, crashes. only linuxs are cursed, which is semi sad.

even "sleep" seems to work on windows, and i think i have had an issue with that on linux but im not sure rn, would have to fix boot. well it was just food for thoughts I dont plan on fixing it
